Biography

Kim Dang arrived at Yale University in July 2012 as Gibbs Assistant Professor for Applied Mathematics.  She studied Mathematics at University in Zurich, where she wrote her Diploma Thesis on "The Distribution of Prime Numbers" in 2008. She received her PhD from University of Zurich in 2012 under supervision of Professor Ashkan Nikeghbali. Her research field is Random Matrix Theory, Random Graphs and Random Growth Models. In her PhD, she studied "The Spectrum of Random Permutation Matrices". 
Kim Dang is also a film scientist and worked for the International Shortfilmfestival in Winterthur, Switzerland.
