Schedule: Week by week schedule PDF.
Course Description: In Math 120 we study the vector geometry of 3 dimensions, scalar and vector functions of 1 and 2 variables, partial derivatives, directional derivatives, multiple integrals, cylindrical and spherical coordinates, parameterized curves and surfaces, gradient, divergence, curl, line and surface integrals, and the theorems of Gauss, Green, and Stokes.
Text: The text is James Stewart's Multivariable Calculus Early Transcendentals, Math 120, seventh edition, Thompson. Note: earlier editions of this text differ in some sections and most exercises.
Evaluation : Course grades are determined from the combined total of homework scores (10%), two exam scores (25% each), and the final exam score (40%). Midterm exams are in the evenings, from 7pm to 8:30pm, on Thursday, October 2, and Thursday, November 13. The final exam is on Monday, December 15, from 7pm to 10:30pm.
