Where to get some free math books online
Professor Allen Hatcher of Cornell University has posted some of his books online (including his Algebraic Topology book): http://www.math.cornell.edu/~hatcher/
If you're using internet under your school network, and your school has appropriate subscription to Springer (I don't know exactly the requirement here), then you may be able to get some free books from Springer: Graduate Text in Mathematics. Try http://www.springerlink.com/content/0072-5285/ As of 03/30/11, they have 70 free books there. Click the book you want, click on each chaper (from menu on the left), then you'll find a button somewhere on the screen which enables you to download the pdf file for that chapter. After downloading all chapter pdf files, you may want to merge them into one file.. (there are various ways to do this; you can use software like Adobe Acrobat, or just use Preview of Mac OS X: for the latter method, you may want to see http://macintoshhowto.com/leopard/how-to-merge-pdf-files-with-preview-in-leopard.html)
