I have moved to Temple math

Samuel Taylor

Hello!

My name is Sam Taylor and I am an NSF postdoctoral fellow and Gibbs Assistant Professor at Yale University.
Before coming to Yale, I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin under the direction of Alan Reid.

Starting July 2017, I will be an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at Temple University.

My research interests include geometric group theory, mapping class groups, hyperbolic 3-manifolds, cubical geometry, and dynamics. In particular, I am interested in analogies between surface topology/geometry (the mapping class group, Teichmuller space, the curve complex, etc.) and the corresponding objects in the study of the outer automorphism group of the free group. Below, you can find a list of my papers with links to the arXiv.

My email address is
s.taylor@yale.edu.
My office is located in Leet Oliver Memorial Hall 219C.

Please email me if you have any questions/comments or if you'd like to see a copy of my research statement or CV.
