We continue our work on inverse problems for IFS, exploring more complicated examples, and we survey some instances of fractals in architecture.
When the pieces are not scaled by such obvious amounts, we can find scalings and rotations by measuring distances and angles.
Examples of finding IFS rules for natural fractals. Some are simple, others require some new tricks.
Examples of finding IFS rules for spirals.
The relations between the parts of an IFS image can be effectively revealed through some animations.
Before we look for fractal examples around us, it's important to point out ways in which physical fractals differ from mathematical fractals. In particular, we investigate some common mistakes in finding fractals.
