Research: My current research focuses on the development and application of combinatorial methods in algebraic geometry, especially through connections to tropical geometry and nonarchimedean analytic spaces. My preprints are available on the arXiv and Google Scholar.

Teaching: I am on leave at the Fields Institute in Toronto, for the Fall 2016 thematic program on combinatorial algebraic geometry. Information on past teaching is available here.

Undergraduate research: I serve as director of SUMRY, an intensive summer research program in mathematics for Yale undergraduates.

Seminar: Together with Asher Auel and Kalina Mincheva, I organize a weekly seminar on algebraic and tropical geometry. We meet on Thursday afternoons in 431 DL.
